Online poker players can make additional money by earning poker player points. Player points are rewarded to players from Poker Stars room for each game and tournament a poker player is in. Player points can be exchanged into cash. All tournaments a poker player plays and every hand raked will earn player points. The amount of points earned correlates to the amount that is raked or the fee of the tournament. An online poker player will receive more points the more games he or she plays in.

Online poker players will also earn bonuses for referring new players to Poker Stars, which will award $50 to the referring poker player and the new poker player. There is no limit to the number of new players a poker player can refer.

The referral bonus money will be given when the new poker player has signed up and begun playing. The new player should use the same email the referring poker player invited him or her with. In addition, new poker players that are referred will be eligible for other bonuses.

A new poker player that is invited by referral can earn an extra $50 bonus. This is in addition to the first deposit bonus and any other promotions and bonuses being offered.Poker players receive a first deposit bonus of 100%, up to $600. To be eligible for the first deposit bonus, a poker player must earn player points. For every 350 player points a poker player earns, they can receive $5 of their first deposit bonus.
